Principles
Everyone Plays:
1. Every child plays at least half of each game! Also all coaches are required to encourage all players to try playing in all positions on the field of play throughout the MSA season.
Balanced Teams: Teams are formed each year.
2. Teams are constructed so that all teams have essentially the same chance to be competitive. Players are evaluated from previous years and allocated to teams to help balance the teams. If a team appears to be 'stacked', players may be switched to help balance the teams.
Open Registration:
3. HVGB MSA does not restrict membership on the basis of talent, race, religion, nationality, or creed.
Positive Coaching:
4. Soccer is FUN for players, coaches and parents. Remember positive coaching along with positive comments and encouragement builds team spirit.
Good Sportsmanship:
5. We want to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a "win at all cost" attitude. Our program is designed to generate good sportsmanship among players, coaches, and fans.
